Hector Carrasco(6-1) thrilled the fans at Abner Field as he crafted a no-hit
masterpiece against the Auburn Doubledays. The Texas Power T won by a final
score of 11 to 0.
Carrasco had his best stuff and was 'painting the black' with every pitch. A
beautiful game to watch. He allowed Auburn just one walk. The tension
started to build around the 6th inning. By the 9th inning the crowd was
electrified. Texas had a total of 14 hits for the game.
Mike Maroth(4-5) suffered the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 9
runs in 7 innings. When asked how his stuff was out there, Carrasco looked a
bit incredulous (as did this reporter) and replied 'A bit better than
average, I'd have to say'
