One run was the difference at Abner Field as the Auburn Doubledays defeated
the Texas Power T 3 to 2.
Auburn tallied 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning. That scoring would be
all that was needed. Texas went down quietly in the 9th.
The win was credited to Jose Contreras(4-2) who went 6 innings allowing 2
runs. Bob Wickman gained credit for his 11th save. The losing pitcher was
Jeff Fassero(0-2).
The Auburn ballclub's record now stands at 19-20. Texas can't seem to snap out
of their recent 'funk'. Now they have a miserable 0-10 record over the last
couple weeks.
