In a close game the Auburn Doubledays ended a long winless drought and got by
the Sacramento Giants by the score of 6 to 4.
 
Auburn brought 4 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning with
the help of 4 hits.  The highlight belonged to Jeff Francoeur who made the
crowd come alive when he clubbed a three-run home run (his 7th of the
season).  Auburn had 10 hits for the game and Sacramento had 5.  
 
Matt Belisle(1-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Brad Thompson
earned the save, his 1st.  Glendon Rusch(0-4) suffered the loss in relief.
Auburn scored big getting 5 runs off him in 2 innings.  
 
'It's been a rough ride lately, but this was a good win for us' said Michael
Smith, 'Maybe this will put us back on track.'
