The Auburn Doubledays ended a long winless drought and had very little trouble
at Abner Field downing the Cifton Park Rockets. The score was 10 to
4.
Auburn promptly took the lead in their half of the first when they scored 4
runs on 5 hits. Cifton Park was out-hit by Auburn, 15 hits to 7.
Scott Kazmir(2-2) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 7 innings. Jamey
Wright(0-1) ended up with the loss. He allowed 10 hits and 3 walks in 4 and
1/3 innings.
'Thankfully we got ourselves a win', Kazmir said. 'It's great to be back on
the winning side of things.'
