Ben Broussard homered and had 3 RBI at Abner Field where the Auburn Doubledays
beat the Anderson Librarians 4 to 3.
In the bottom of the 6th inning Auburn scored 3 runs. The key offensive
moment was provided by Broussard who thrilled the crowd when he rifled a
three-run blast (his 3rd of the season). Anderson had a chance in the 9th
but they came up short.
The victory was credited to Kiko Calero(2-0) who went 2 and 2/3 innings,
allowing no runs. Bob Wickman earned his 3rd save. Mike Macdougal(1-1)
absorbed the loss in relief.
'It felt really nice to get this win,' Calero said. 'I kind of dictated the
game. It's what I get paid to do. It worked out this time.'
